The Greylock Glass Gets Some Perspective on the News with iBerkshires

This is a big show this week! The Top Left Corner welcomes Tammy Daniels, managing editor of iBerkshires.com, to the show. She’s going to share some back story and analysis of some of the news stories that iBerkshires has been following. Some of the issues this time of year are far from light reading (think municipal budget friction), and we’re grateful that Tammy’s writers are keeping us up to date with both the big ideas and small details.

Mezze Bistro and Bar Eases into Spring Fare

I was super excited to talk with Chef Nicholas Mouton, executive chef at Mezze Bistro and Bar in Williamstown. His knowledge about, and love for, local and seasonal eating inspires a menu that conjures up flavors with origins of less than a day’s walk from your table. With Spring here (sort of), Chef Nick will begin crafting some of the lighter, vegetable-centered delights that satisfy this season’s palate.

Below are some dishes that have previously graced the plates of Mezze this time of year.

Budding young chef, perhaps?!

Being a hunter/gatherer never looked so appetizing before now, did it?

New Music “Winter Warming,” by Glenn Smith

This delicate and cyclical guitar piece comes to us from a Northampton musician, thinker, and massage therapist. Give it a listen, and consider buying a copy of the CD or digital download at either CD Baby (which has supported indie musicians for many years) or through the Greylock Glass’s affiliate link with Amazon.com (wherein your purchase helps support this site).

Kelly Bevan McIlquham Drops by to Share the Weekend Lowdown from Berkshire Family Focus.

While we said during the show that you could get the links to the events we spoke about here in the show-notes, that really makes no sense! Kelly has already compiled the master list right here in the Weekend Lowdown at her site.

And the link to the April Vacation page (she’s still adding to it) can be found over here. And trust us: you’re going to want to have activities planned in advance for the Spring Fever-stricken youths!

Below are links to Berkshire Family Focus sponsors who make Kelly’s contribution to the “Top Left Corner” possible.
