New Licensing Summit Launches at Anime NYC

Invitation-Only Program at Javits Center
The Anime NYC and X Tracks Licensing Summit will take place Thursday, August 20. Organizers developed the program in partnership with X Tracks Licensing Summits.
The invitation-only event will include presentations, panels, VIP discussions, and networking opportunities.
Major Industry Players Expected
Programming is expected to feature companies including VIZ Media, Kodansha, Striker Entertainment, Patencio Development, BioWorld, and Mad Engine.
These companies represent key sectors in publishing, licensing, and consumer products tied to anime and manga.
Industry Leaders Point to Rapid Growth
“Anime is now one of the fastest-growing sectors in global licensing,” said MK Goodwin, vice president at LeftField Media, which organizes Anime NYC.
He said the core anime and manga market is approaching $50 billion. It is projected to exceed $120 billion by 2033.
Global Impact of Asian Entertainment
Steven Ekstract, co-founder of X Tracks Licensing Summits, said the event will focus on “the explosive growth of Asian entertainment.”
He added that the summit will examine its impact on global licensing and retail markets.
Anime NYC Dates Announced
Anime NYC will take place August 20 through 23, 2026, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
