When your four-legged friends are more like members of the family, it can be tough to leave them behind! Luckily, if you are planning a trip to Massachusetts, you’ll find plenty of pet friendly hotels to host you and your pet. So, bring your beloved pets with you, put your mind at ease, and enjoy your trip.

Fairmont Copley Hotel, Boston

Since 2004, the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston’s Back Bay has been famously dog friendly, boasting its own Canine Ambassadors to greet guests in the lobby, including their own black lab, Cori Copley. For an additional fee, guests can bring their dogs through the Fairmont Furiend package. Your dog will be treated like a VIP, and pampered with a curated dog guide, a personalized treat box from Boston Barkery, and all the essentials to make sure their stay is just as comfortable and enjoyable as yours.

Hotel on North, Pittsfield

Hotel on North in Pittsfield welcomes pets for an additional fee of $45 per night. Guests and pets will be greeted by Lola, the happy pup that serves as the mascot while her parents run the hotel. She recommends asking every staff member for a treat, as they always have one on hand. The front desk is well equipped with whatever your pet might need including water bowls, blankets, and even small and large crates. The hotel is close to several state parks, where you can take your pup on one of the many hiking trails to let some energy out.

Briarcliff Motel, Great Barrington

Located at the foot of Monument Mountain, and just a five-minute drive from the town of Great Barrington, the Briarcliff Motel is considered one of the most pet-friendly hotels in the Berkshires. It allows you to bring your pet along with you for no additional fees. The motel also boasts large outdoor spaces, as well as many nearby hiking trails, for you and your dog to enjoy together.

The Lamb and Lion Inn, Barnstable

Named as one of the top 12 most pet-friendly properties in the world by CNN, The Lamb and Lion Inn offers every amenity and essential that your pet may need and has four beautiful acres of property for your dog to explore. Upon arrival, ask the front desk about the self-guided driving tour which highlights pet-friendly attractions and restaurants in the area. Please note that dogs must be at least one year old and under 40 pounds, but call ahead to discuss your needs.

While Massachusetts is certainly home to many pet-friendly accommodations including these and many more, be sure to call ahead or check with the hotel’s website before bringing your pet along.
