Last month’s story event at Mount Anthony Country Club went great with a full room of people despite the storm, eight great stories… and a real fire place. Thanks to everyone who came out! At least this week we’ll only have to worry about a little rain. No problem after this weird winter.
Story Night is all about Obsession
So, hot off the heals of Valentines Day, it’s time for Obsession. I am very excited about where this could go. Bring your best story about any obsessive thing that has happened in your life. Maybe that crazy romance that had more ‘crazy’ in it then ‘romance’. Maybe it could be a certain Roomate situation. Maybe you’re like me and like buying waaayyyy too many chocolate chip cookies in a single day. Interpret however you see it and take a risk, this is a safe space.
There will be more art by myself and Cristal Call as we start the prep work for the Union Street mural. Great food served by the Country Club (my Veggie Burger was delicious) and a cool prize that will keep you out on the town.
Dance Flurry and Storytelling Workshop this Weekend in Saratoga!
This weekend I am working with a Moth Grand slam storyteller during the amazing dance flurry on Saturday in Saratoga. The whole weekend is an amazing blend of every type of dance in the world (maybe not… but there’s a lot) and Storytelling. Ticket prices are a little steep but not when you realize that this is the time to brush up on your Waltz, or Indian contemporary, or African or whatever kind of dance. You may also get together a story that you never knew you had in you. If you’re in the mood come join me for the day or whole weekend or just at the 5:30pm workshop on Saturday.
