WomenCircles: A Guided Retreat for Women
August 24, 2019 @ 2:30 pm - August 29, 2019 @ 2:00 pm EDT
Since it began nearly 40 years ago, WomenCircles has woven a container of many women, diverse in lifestyles, cultural backgrounds, ages, sexual orientations, and spiritual paths.
In coming to WomenCircles, you will be entering a liminal, beautiful, sacred space. Rowe provides a retreat setting away from the busy world, where you will join with a group of amazing women and experienced staff to deepen your own spiritual journey.
Our theme is Weaving our Lives Together. Each day we will sit in morning circle, weaving the threads that hold this dynamic group of women together. We will gather and share comfort, courage, laughter, and support with each other on our journeys. Conversation is at the heart of our connection and all is sacred – from sharing deeply in morning circles to talking over good food around our table.
You may choose to be guided in your retreat by engaging in group activities such as weaving, collaging, conscious conversing, journaling, creating ritual, hiking, labyrinth walking, shamanic journeying, campfire singing, and creating in the fabulous art tent. Throughout the retreat, each woman will also have the option to meet individually with a spiritual guide.
There will be plenty of free time to slow down and connect with your deepest self. You can explore further the practices you experienced through the guided offerings, or sink into other activities on your own such as sitting in the meditation hut, basking in the sun, relaxing in a hammock, taking a sauna, or taking a nap.
In this safe and supportive space, among the company of women, you will have a chance to find deeper meaning in your life and to expand your awareness of the many ways the sacred manifests in all our lives. You’ll leave refreshed and renewed through sisterhood, beauty, and joy. All those who identify as women are welcome!
This retreat is a project of the The Rowe Center Certificate Program in Spiritual Guidance and is rooted in circle work.
