We are looking forward to our second event on July 22 at 7pm, titled “Nothing is Free: The Cost to Civil Society of Online Inequity, Disinformation, Hate, and Surveillance.” Presented by Jessica J. González, Co-CEO of Free Press, the talk will focus on subjects of net neutrality, affordable internet access for all, uplifting the voices of people of color in the media, and defending press freedom and reimagining local journalism. This will be followed by a question and answer session moderated by Richie Davis, longtime journalist for the Greenfield Recorder. Davis recently released his latest book, ” Good Will and Ice Cream”, stories from 40 years of writing for the Recorder in Western Massachusetts.
