See the Village in a geological light as you explore the rocks, stones, landforms, evidence of glaciation and quarries, and other secrets of the earth. The 90-minute walk is rated easy to moderate. The first half of the walk takes place in the historic Village, including walking on occasionally uneven terrain and entering (via one or two steps) at least one historic building to examine stones in the interior. The remainder of the walk is on the Farm and Forest Trail, a one-mile trail finished with a surface friendly to mobility devices (includes traversing some grass). This walk and talk is part of the 2019 Housatonic Heritage Walks organized by the Upper Housatonic Valley National Heritage Area.
