Last year’s Warm Up the Winter event raised over $50,000 and provided direct support to over 200 households needing housing-related emergency assistance. With fuel and electric prices increasing by 30% and the cost of housing continuing to skyrocket, Construct has raised this year’s goal to $75,000 to meet the increased needs of the community.
There is no charge to join this year’s virtual event, which premieres on the website on Saturday, February 19, at 7:00 p.m. All proceeds from Construct’s Warm Up the Winter events go directly to those in need of emergency assistance for fuel, utility, rental payments, and emergency accommodation. With the length of our waitlist reaching a record-high 679 households, the need this year is greater than ever.
