A Dive into Documentary Filmmaking – MIC Community MeetUp
February 8 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
In this month’s workshop, “A Dive into Documentary Filmmaking,” we will watch a couple of “60 second documentaries” (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYsWPPZMhfI9EddYpPe6CYw) and explore what it takes to create a documentary. As a group, we’ll come up with a documentary proposal and work through the pre-production process (location scouting, budgeting/funding, pitching, access, etc.)
Lead by local media artist Avarie Cook – a Springfield, MA native who has been pursuing the visual arts since high school. She wants to use multimedia to create human connections through experiences and culture.
Free and open to high school and college age youth.
Registration is not required, but appreciated! Please go to the link below to let us know you’ll be attending!
