The walls of Sibaritas, present a whole new flair of Italian cuisine for the Berkshire eating scene.

Restaurant owners, Megan and Ronald Gomez have always wanted to open up a restaurant together and decided that this year would be the perfect time to bring their love of culture and passion for food to Pittsfield and the Berkshires.
“I would say it’s mostly Italian food, we don’t like to put labels on it because what Sibaritas means is that there is no label, so it’s for you to appreciate the food. For us Sibaritas means food, but you can be a Sibarita in art, or a Sibarita in music. It’s just the love and the passion and quality of what you love. For us, love has no boundaries, so the food doesn’t have any boundaries either said Megan.”
Instead of your stereotypical Italian joint that might serve only pizza and lasagna, Sibaritas incorporates some Latin-American influences into their dishes. They serve Del huerto salads freshly picked from the garden and Para Picars with toasted crostini. As well, the menu offers gluten-free cheesy flat breads, pastries stuffed with chocolate, delicious fruit smoothies, and house made drinks. You can even create your own pasta and pick which toppings and sauces you want on top of it.
If you’re a vegetarian or prefer to stick with gluten-free, you won’t have to worry about finding a meal to eat at Sibaritas, because the restaurant offers a unique variety of vegetarian options. Ranging from quinoa balls mixed with organic greens to marinated olives, gazpacho soups, and flat breads layered with organic arugula, cherry tomatoes, burrata, and avocado. There’s even an option to pick out if you want gluten-free or dairy free cheese flatbreads.
Sibaritas is the first restaurant that Megan and Ronald have owned, yet between the two of them they share over 30 years of culinary experience. It was the couples’ love for the Berkshires that inspired them to open a restaurant in Pittsfield.
“We love it, the culture here is completely different than New York or Boston; it’s a more laid back and relaxing location, where you can enjoy what you love,” continued Megan.
According to Megan, the most popular meal ordered by customers so far has been the make your own pasta dish.
“That’s really attractive to people because you can make the plate that you want and be your own Sibarita,” said Megan.
The restaurant is situated inside of a house instead of a traditional building with only one floor. Diners enter the café downstairs to pick out pastries and order food is, then go upstairs to eat their meals. There’s a rather calm and soothing feel to the atmosphere of the restaurant, because you feel at peace and relaxed when eating your food.
Megan hopes for her customers when coming into the restaurant is to enjoy the atmosphere and quality of food that they love to eat, and for everyone to enjoy and appreciate that experience.
